Civil Draftsman

Responsibilities

1. Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other drafting software.
2. Prepare civil, structural, and architectural drawings for oil & gas projects, including foundations, pipelines, roads, and plant layouts.
3. Interpret and translate engineering sketches, designs, and specifications into technical drawings.
4. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements (such as ADNOC, Aramco, or other regulatory standards).
5. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure accurate and efficient design execution.
6. Revise and update drawings as required based on feedback from engineers and construction teams.
7. Maintain document control for all drawings and ensure proper versioning and approval.
8. Assist in preparing material take-offs (MTOs) and construction documentation.
9. Support site teams by providing as-built drawings after project completion.

Qualifications

1. Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other drafting software.
3. Experience in oil & gas industry projects is preferred.
4. Knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, especially for oil & gas infrastructure.
5. Familiarity with international codes and standards (API, ASTM, ACI, etc.).
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
7. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
