Job Title: Civil Designer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Contract Term: 6 months

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Civil Designer to join a dynamic and collaborative team, contributing to the design and development of onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. This role requires expertise in 3D modelling, infrastructure layout planning, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality and compliant project deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil and structural design, strong proficiency in 3D design tools, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certificate or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 12 years' experience in civil design for oil and gas onshore/offshore projects.
• At least 7 years of experience working in a 3D design environment using PDMS or SP3D.
• Proficiency in E3D and SP3D software.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other relevant design tools.
• Experience in field engineering activities is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop Site Plans & Infrastructure Layouts
   • Create comprehensive site plans and layouts, optimising land use and infrastructure efficiency.
2. Perform Civil Routing Studies
   • Conduct routing studies for roads, drainage systems, and utility corridors.
3. Establish Structural Configurations
   • Develop designs for foundations, retaining walls, and structural supports.
4. 3D Infrastructure & Civil Modelling
   • Utilise Civil 3D, Revit, or equivalent tools to model infrastructure components.
   • Ensure civil structures and supports are accurately represented based on engineering studies.
5. Design Modifications & Clash Detection
   • Integrate minor infrastructure line changes and modifications into designs.
   • Perform clash detection and compliance checks to maintain design integrity.
6. Production of Civil Drawings
   • Prepare detailed civil-related drawings, including site plans, sections, and construction details.
   • Extract general arrangement (GA) and construction drawings from 3D models.
7. Material Take-Off (MTO) & Procurement Support
   • Conduct accurate material take-offs to support project estimation and procurement.
8. Cross-Disciplinary Coordination
   • Work closely with engineers and designers across disciplines to ensure alignment.
9. Progress Reporting & Vendor Drawing Review
   • Provide regular progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.
   • Review and comment on vendor drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
