Chiller Operations Manager

Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced Operations Manager to lead our chiller operations and cooling tower operations. The ideal candidate will have strong UAE experience, manage on-site teams, and play an active role in technical sales and client development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of chiller systems & cooling towers
• Lead technical teams and supervise field staff
• Ensure performance, safety, and compliance with UAE standards
• Handle client communication and system reporting
• Support technical sales, prepare proposals, and bring in new business

Requirements:

• 5+ years in chiller/cooling system operations, with UAE experience
• Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in managing teams and client-facing roles
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and energy optimization
• Proven track record in technical sales or business development

Technical & Industry Skills:

• Deep knowledge of chiller systems (air-cooled & water-cooled)
• Expertise in cooling tower operations & central plant maintenance
• Familiar with HVAC systems design, installation & troubleshooting
• Understanding of MEP coordination and electro-mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Familiar with energy efficiency techniques & automation controls (e.g., BMS)

Leadership & Management:

• Strong team management and people leadership
• Experience managing technicians, site engineers, and subcontractors
• Able to implement and oversee preventive maintenance schedules
• Good command of project planning and resource allocation

Business & Sales:

• Technical sales and client relationship skills
• Able to prepare and present proposals, cost estimates, and bids
• Ability to generate and follow up on new business leads
• Comfortable in client-facing roles and delivering performance reports

Compliance & Safety:

• Familiar with UAE HSE standards, DEWA/DM requirements (if applicable)
• Strong focus on workplace safety, quality control, and documentation

Communication & Soft Skills:

• Excellent spoken and written English (Arabic is a plus)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Customer-focused mindset
