Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the overall technology strategy for the e-commerce platform, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
- Oversee the architecture and development of the e-commerce platform, including integrations with payment gateways, CRM, and other third-party services.
- Lead and mentor the engineering team, driving innovation, efficiency, and product delivery aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer experience teams to implement features that enhance user experience and increase conversion rates.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) to ensure seamless operation, optimal performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement best practices in e-commerce development, including CI/CD pipelines, A/B testing, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant e-commerce regulations (PCI-DSS, GDPR).
- Use data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), customer behavior, and platform performance, leveraging insights to inform technological improvements.
- Lead efforts to optimize website speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience (UX) design.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the technology team.
- Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources for maximum business impact.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CTO or in a senior technology leadership role within an e-commerce company.
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and technologies such as APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
- Expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and experience in managing scalable, high-traffic e-commerce platforms.
- Strong background in web development, UX/UI design, and e-commerce optimization techniques.
- Experience with data analytics, A/B testing, and data-driven decision-making for conversion rate optimization.
- Deep understanding of payment gateways, CRM systems, inventory management systems, and e-commerce integrations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and privacy regulations related to e-commerce.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in scaling e-commerce platforms in high-growth environments.
- Knowledge of machine learning, AI, and personalization techniques for e-commerce optimization.
- Previous experience in international e-commerce operations, including multi-currency and multi-language functionality.
