Job description

Job Summary: On behalf of our client, Programmers Force, we are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology department, driving innovation and overseeing large-scale product development in the FinTech/RegTech/SaaS space. The ideal candidate is not only experienced in managing large, cross-functional teams but is also comfortable rolling up their sleeves to work on complex technical challenges when needed. With a strong product development mindset, expertise in large-scale architecture, and experience in cutting-edge data science innovations, the CTO will shape our technological future while effectively managing infrastructure and team costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Technology Leadership:
    • Develop and communicate a forward-thinking technology vision that aligns with the company’s long-term business goals, particularly in the FinTech, RegTech, and SaaS sectors.
    • Lead innovation initiatives, ensuring the company leverages emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
    • Collaborate with the executive team to shape the company’s strategic direction, driving growth through technology.
    • Oversee the development and management of scalable, high-performance technology platforms that cater to market needs, regulatory requirements, and customer demands.
    • Drive the full product lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of solutions.
    • Implement robust architecture solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of our technology infrastructure.
  2. Financial Management in Product Development:
    • Take ownership of the financial aspects of product development, including managing infrastructure costs, team budgets, and optimizing resource allocation.
    • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on product quality or team efficiency, particularly in cloud infrastructure and operational expenses.
  3. Operational Excellence & Risk Management:
    • Manage the company’s technology infrastructure, focusing on optimizing cloud services, cybersecurity, data management, and IT operations.
    • Ensure all technology systems adhere to the highest security standards while maintaining operational efficiency as the company scales.
    • Proactively manage regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and mitigate potential risks.
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a large, high-impact technology team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
    • Build cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and cybersecurity to drive large-scale projects, ensuring high performance and alignment with business objectives.
    • Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure the team is equipped to meet evolving business and technology needs.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
    • Act as a key liaison between the technology department and stakeholders, clearly communicating technological strategies, progress, and results.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure technology solutions align with broader organizational objectives.
    • Represent the company as a thought leader in the industry at relevant events, conferences, and forums.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, ideally as a CTO within the FinTech, RegTech, or SaaS industries.
  • A strong track record of managing and scaling large technology teams and delivering high-impact, innovative technology solutions.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or equivalent is a plus.

Skills:

  • Expertise in technology strategy, product development, large-scale architecture, and data science innovations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing infrastructure and team costs for large-scale technology projects.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven data science expertise and experience, with a strong track record of leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to drive business solutions and product enhancements.
