Chief Technology Officer

Job Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and oversees the company’s technology, security, and platform development plans.
• Serves as an internal consultant and active contributor to the strategic direction and as a central point of information and technological infrastructure.
• Stands at the helm of the platform development function, ensuring that the platform grows, develops, functions properly, and stays relevant to current market trends.
• Develops, reviews, and maintains the product roadmap along with the CEO and leadership team, able to translate between technical and non-technical needs.
• Leads a product engineering team and is responsible for operational technology.
• Leads a team of architects, innovation managers, and API specialists.
• Responsible for creating an MVP to gain real-time user feedback as fast as possible and for a series of product iterations, accountable for the quality of the final product.
• Manages the relationship with software development vendors/partners that are developing the platform.
• Handles interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of technical team members.
• Mentors tech talent who can be trusted with critical functions, possessing the engineering expertise to evaluate technical knowledge.
• Understands open banking regulations, data privacy, oversees data security, and manages the capacity of the platform.
• Applies technical management skills through the development, testing, and implementation stages, reviewing the completed work effectively.
• Ensures the development team follows the correct procedures, policies, and documentation requirements across project phases.
• Able to integrate third-party content and service providers to expand the company’s products and services.
