Job description

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Avyanco will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, enhancing client satisfaction, and leading cross-functional teams. As a pivotal member of the executive team, the COO will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of services, and implementing growth strategies to expand our market share in the business setup sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all daily operations to ensure the company runs smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and systems to improve service quality and streamline processes.
  • Manage the end-to-end client journey, from onboarding to successful business setup, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Address operational bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with relevant teams to develop solutions.

2. Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Work with the CEO and executive team to create and execute short- and long-term business strategies.
  • Evaluate new market opportunities and assess risks and rewards associated with potential ventures.
  • Lead the implementation of scalable systems and processes to support company growth.
  • Monitor competitive trends and adjust operational strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to manage budgets, forecast financials, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Analyze operational expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
  • Oversee resource allocation across departments to ensure optimal use of company resources.

3. Team Development and Management

  • Lead and mentor the operations, client-facing, and sales teams, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing team members, supporting career growth and retention.
  • Develop performance metrics for departments and individual roles, monitoring and evaluating performance to drive continuous improvement.

4. Client Relationship Management

  • Work closely with the client-facing team to ensure a proactive approach to client needs and address any service gaps.
  • Establish strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
  • Drive initiatives to collect client feedback, implementing improvements to enhance service delivery and client retention.

5. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and quality standards across operational functions.
  • Develop and maintain risk management strategies, preparing contingency plans to address potential issues.
  • Oversee the company's adherence to industry standards, including documentation accuracy, timelines, and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 - 10+ years in business setup / company formation operations or senior management, ideally within a business setup, consulting, or related industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and guiding high-performance teams.
  • Deep understanding of business setup processes, regulatory requirements, and compliance.
  • Analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, executives, and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changes, and drive initiatives to completion.
