The Chief of Staff serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CEO, providing high-level support in planning, directing, and executing company operations. This role is critical for streamlining cross-departmental workflows, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving strategic initiatives aligned with the CEO's vision. The Chief of Staff will manage and coordinate projects across the company, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives, including profit maintenance, NPS (Net Promoter Score) improvement, and business process automation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support:
Act as a key advisor to the CEO, providing counsel on high-priority matters and strategic initiatives.
Develop, prioritize, and manage short- and long-term projects in collaboration with senior leadership to drive key business goals.
Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to profit maintenance, customer satisfaction, and automation efforts.
Operational Efficiency:
Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve internal processes and enhance overall productivity.
Collaborate with department heads to optimize resource allocation, streamline workflows, and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Oversee implementation and adherence to operational best practices, focusing on high-impact areas to improve service delivery and client satisfaction.
Project Management:
Coordinate and drive high-stakes projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Implement project management frameworks to support the achievement of lead and lag measures for company goals.
Manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement for multiple projects.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as a primary point of contact between the CEO and key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Facilitate cross-departmental communication to foster alignment on goals and enhance collaboration on key initiatives.
Represent the CEO in high-level meetings as required and ensure follow-up on action items.
Leadership and Team Development:
Support the executive team in developing leadership capabilities and fostering a high-performing team aligned with company objectives.
Mentor junior team members and create succession plans to maintain a high-performing team.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the executive office.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior strategic, operations, or project management role.
Must have prior experience working in contracting companies, with a strong understanding of the contracting industry's specific processes and challenges.
Prior experience in consulting, business operations, or as an executive assistant to C-level executives is a plus.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of business process automation, data analysis, and project management software.
Proficiency in financial analysis, KPIs, and other metrics related to profit.
