Job description

As Chef de Rang of our Lobby Lounge, you will play a crucial role in delivering a superior dining experience. The role will oversee a designated section of our restaurant, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and that every detail of their dining experience meets our high standards of luxury and service.

Responsibilities

  1. Will be responsible for holding a section in the restaurant.
  2. Deliver outstanding and personalized service to guests in the Lobby Lounge, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and a welcoming demeanor. Offer recommendations on menu items and beverages and assist with special requests.
  3. Anticipate guest preferences and respond to requests promptly to enhance their dining experience.
  4. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the lounge's menu, including beverages, light meals and/or desserts. Be able to provide detailed explanation and suggestions to enhance guest experience.
  5. Ensure that management and kitchen colleagues are informed of any special guest preferences or allergies.
  6. Be able to operate the required steps on the POS - point of sales system in order to process food and beverage orders.
  7. Be able to deliver service by understanding the guest requirements.
  8. Properly upsell services and products to our guests at all times, enhancing service and generating increased revenue.
  9. Perform any tasks relating to billing according to hotel standards and cashiering policies.
  10. Ensure all dishes are presented in compliance with hotel standards and food & beverage specifications.
  11. Support as required other outlets as assigned by the Restaurant/ Outlet Manager.
  12. Create WOW moments to surprise and delight guests in the Restaurant.
  13. Ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance with the MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs).

Skills & Qualifications

  1. High School qualification or equivalent is preferred.
  2. Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred.
  3. Experience in a high-volume restaurant with highest levels of service and/or luxury hotel experience preferred.
  4. Minimum 2 years experience working as senior waiter / chef de rang.
  5. Familiar with restaurant point of sales and cashiering procedures is preferred.
  6. Basic computer skills including MS Office is preferred.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
  9. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
