Chief Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Manager (Saudi National)

Our client is a leading operations and maintenance provider within the power sector who are looking for a Chief Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Manager (Saudi National).

Responsibilities will be as follow:

1. Responsible to ensure full compliance with all Company’s and legislative Health & Safety and Environmental requirements, including an integrated management system.
2. Maintain a culture of continuous improvement with respect to Health, Safety and the Environment and exploit any discovered improvement potential.
3. Ensure that the plant is maintained in a manner that safeguards plant integrity and reliability, maximizes asset lifetime and efficiency, and minimizes cost.
4. Continually monitor the status of issues that affect the risk to plant operations, identifying and prioritizing the required actions, and driving forward the solutions.
5. Direct and monitor the planning and prioritization of mechanical maintenance of the plant, to ensure high availability.
6. Co-ordinate in conjunction with the Operations department the integration of daily maintenance activities setting priorities on a daily basis and identify any operational concerns for long term planning.
7. Propose modifications that can improve plant performance and availability or reduce operation and maintenance cost.
8. Ensure the timely supply of all spares, consumables, tools and external resources in co-ordination with purchase department to ensure high availability and reliability of the plant.
9. Ensure that maintenance of the plant is carried out in a disciplined and consistent manner based on approved Work Instructions that have been developed, reviewed and revised by the joint input of both Engineering and Maintenance personnel (as applicable).
10. Periodically review and update preventive maintenance programs in SAP and ensure that all maintenance activities are routed through the system.
11. Improve and update the business management and maintenance procedures relevant to the department.
12. Monitor the activities of contractors that have an influence or may have an influence on the running plant, providing guidelines for the Maintenance personnel to control these activities.
13. Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls so that the safety of employees and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
14. Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and external contractors with highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to all critical technical issues in order to ensure the services required by the organization are delivered in the most effective manner.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Mechanical Engineer.
2. MUST have at least a minimum of 10 years experience with 5 to 7 years of experience working in O&M of power generation sector.
3. Knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools.
4. Detailed understanding of preventative/predictive maintenance theory.
5. Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills.
6. Teamwork and effective collaboration skills.
