Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide strategic leadership in the areas of financial planning, management, and corporate growth. With an exceptional understanding of regulatory and operational challenges, the CFO will be responsible for driving the company’s financial strategy, enhancing shareholder value, and ensuring operational efficiencies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s corporate objectives, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and value creation.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support decision-making and strategic goals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational plans.
- Advise the CEO and Board of Directors on financial matters, including financial risks, performance, opportunities, and regulatory issues.
- Oversee investment strategies, capital allocation, and fundraising activities, ensuring appropriate funding for growth initiatives and operational needs.
- Oversee all accounting, finance, tax, and treasury functions, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and local aviation laws.
- Ensure robust internal controls and audit processes are in place to maintain the integrity of financial reporting and safeguard company assets.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and foreign exchange risks, ensuring the company’s financial flexibility and resilience.
- Lead negotiations related to vendor contracts, charter, and financing arrangements for fleet expansion and other major capital expenditures.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with financial regulations and legal requirements, including aviation industry-specific financial standards and reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring all audits and financial reviews are completed accurately and on time.
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with aviation insurance requirements and financial regulations related to international operations, charter services, and luxury travel.
- Oversee aviation asset management, including valuation, depreciation, and return on assets for aircraft, facilities, and other critical assets.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with department heads, such as operations, legal, and commercial teams, to ensure cohesive cross-functional strategies and financial planning.
- Play a key role in driving business transformation initiatives and implementing financial systems and tools to improve performance and scalability.
Minimum Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally as a CFO, Finance Director, or Controller within the aviation industry.
- Proven track record of driving financial growth.
- Experience in managing financials with a focus on compliance with international financial regulations.
- Strong understanding and experience of financial management principles, including aircraft charter, big asset financing, and fleet financing.
- Demonstrated success in driving financial performance and business transformation initiatives within a high-growth, high-expectation environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial modelling software.
