My client is seeking an experienced leader to take their crypto exchange to the next level. The platform is live, backed by a small but ambitious team, and actively raising funds behind the scenes. Now, they seek a Chief Executive Officer with a proven track record in scaling exchanges, driving growth, and navigating the evolving crypto landscape.

Location – Remote

Salary - $200,000 USD per annum

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles in crypto exchange
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a crypto exchange, with primary background in operations and marketing
• Visionary and entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong understanding of the crypto industry
• Experience in fundraising
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen
• Knowledge of risk management and regulatory compliance in the crypto space
• High level of integrity and ethical judgement
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
• Level-headed leader who can manage key stakeholders, including C-Suite executives, regulators, shareholders and investors.
• A collaborative and inclusive leadership style
• Basic understanding of government relations
• Passionate about the potential of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology • A strong social media presence is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Set the strategic direction for the Exchange, ensuring alignment with our mission to provide state-of-the-art cryptocurrency exchange services and drive the Exchange’s expansion by strengthening its market position, delivering innovative solutions and identifying emerging opportunities in blockchain and crypto to position the Exchange as a leader in the rapidly evolving digital economy. Ability to identify medium to long-term industry trends and emerging needs to optimize value to stakeholders.
• Marketing Leadership: Lead the marketing initiatives, campaigns, and branding efforts to ensure the Exchange achieves maximum market visibility and growth. Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to develop marketing strategies and implement them effectively.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, overseeing the launch of new features and various upcoming additions to our roadmap.
• Business Development: Possess a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency market and has a proven track record of establishing and nurturing strategic relationships within the industry, with an ability to identify, evaluate and establish strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth and improve the Exchange’s market positioning.
• Product Development Leadership: Spearhead the evolution and development of the Exchange's product offerings, actively participating in the design, launch, and iteration of the platform to ensure it remains at the forefront of the industry. Ability to identify new trends at an early stage and ahead of the competition, and have a strategic eyes to align product development with emerging and/or future user needs.
• Team Management and Development: Lead a diverse team of crypto exchange professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Assist in managing human resource matters across the multi-country team and provide insights into resource succession planning to ensure continuity and growth.
• Partnership Development: Foster and maintain relationships with key industry partners to ensure robust security measures and compliance are in place.
• Stakeholder Communication: Engage with stakeholders and have a deep understanding of relationship management, including investors, partners, and customers, to gather feedback, provide updates, and ensure the Exchange remains responsive to market needs.
• Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and operations to ensure the Exchange’s profitability and sustainability.
• Regulatory and Compliance Oversight: Collaborating with regulatory authorities to maintain compliance with local and international standards, promoting trust and transparency in the digital asset space, factoring the continuous business expansion.
• Risk Management: Implement strategies to mitigate potential risks, from market dynamics to cybersecurity threats.
• Brand Ambassador: Represent the Exchange in public forums, media, and industry events, establishing yourself as a thought leader and advocate for the Exchange 's vision and mission.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with trends in the crypto world, regulatory landscapes, and emerging technologies to keep the Exchange ahead of the curve.
