Chief Executive Officer - Construction

Purpose:

Effectively oversee all aspects of the business to drive strategic leadership, sustainable growth, and operational excellence. The President will ensure the achievement and maintenance of the company's strategic objectives, financial targets, and market leadership position in power, energy, and consultancy solutions.

Key Accountability Areas and Activities

1. Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement a long-term strategic vision that aligns with the company's mission, values, and market trends.

Oversee the formulation and execution of business plans, growth strategies, and expansion efforts.

Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand the company’s market presence across various regions and sectors.

Lead the company to become a market leader by adapting to emerging industry trends and innovations.

2. Operational Management

Ensure the efficient operation of business units, particularly in power & energy, architecture, and consultancy solutions.

Regularly monitor and review KPIs and financial metrics to assess and drive performance improvements.

Implement continuous improvement processes and foster a culture of operational excellence.

3. Financial Management

Oversee the company’s financial health, ensuring effective budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk management.

Maintain compliance with financial regulations and oversee regular financial reporting.

Assess financial data to ensure the company meets revenue and profitability targets.

4. Risk Management

Identify potential risks to the company’s operations, reputation, and financial stability.

Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks in line with the company’s overall goals.

5. Human Resources & Organizational Culture

Foster a positive, inclusive, and innovative work culture that encourages employee engagement, satisfaction, and professional development.

Lead initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and a collaborative work environment across the company.

6. Client Relations

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Ensure the company delivers high-quality services and achieves high client satisfaction.

7. Regulatory Compliance

Ensure the company adheres to all relevant industry regulations, government standards, and safety policies.

Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and manage these relationships.

8. Corporate Governance

Promote and uphold strong corporate governance principles, emphasizing transparency, ethical conduct, and accountability in all operations and decisions.

Ensure the company's adherence to board policies and governance practices.

9. Innovation

Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging research, development of new products, and leveraging emerging technologies.

Stay informed of industry trends and technological advancements to keep company at the cutting edge.

Knowledge and Experience:

Proven track record in executive leadership roles within the engineering or construction industry.

Deep understanding of the power and energy sector and a strong grasp of engineering design principles, project management methodologies, and the consultancy services market.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead teams, foster a positive culture, and drive organizational change.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, employees, investors, and regulatory bodies.

Strong financial acumen and analytical skills to manage the company's financial objectives.

A strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and creatively.

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Master’s degree in business administration (MBA).

Professional qualifications like Certified Corporate Director (CCD) or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) are advantageous.
