Chief Executive Officer CEO Mining Division

A leading holding company based in the UAE with a diverse portfolio spanning various industries is currently seeking a dynamic and visionary CEO for their mining division which specializes in the exploration and extraction of copper and gold minerals. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead a key segment of their operations and drive its growth and success on an international scale. This role requires a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the mining industry particularly in copper and gold and a strong understanding of global mining markets and operations. Other duties would include but not limited to:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the mining division aligning with the broader goals of the company
  
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities including exploration joint ventures and international expansion.
  
• Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the division and ensure alignment with the holding companys overall strategy.
  
• Oversee the division s operations including exploration extraction and processing of copper and gold.
  
• Implement best practices and innovative technologies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  
• Ensure the division operates within budget and meets or exceeds production and performance targets.
  
• Develop and manage the division s budget financial forecasts and investment plans.
  
• Monitor financial performance implement costcontrol measures and ensure profitability.
  
• Provide regular financial and operational reports to the Board of Directors and stakeholders.
  
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international regulations including environmental health and safety standards.
  
• Promote and implement sustainability initiatives and best practices in environmental management.
  
• Maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
  
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including investors government officials local communities and industry partners.
  
• Represent the division at industry events public forums and media engagements.
  
• Address and resolve stakeholder concerns and issues effectively.
  
• Lead mentor and develop the senior management team and broader workforce within the division.
  
• Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and high performance.
  
• Oversee talent acquisition development and retention strategies to ensure the division attracts and retains top talent.
  
• Identify and assess risks related to operations market conditions and regulatory changes.
  
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the division s assets and reputation.
  
• Ensure business continuity and crisis management plans are in place.
  

Requirements

To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:

• Proven experience as a CEO or in a senior executive role within the mining industry with a focus on copper and gold.
  
• Strong understanding of global mining operations market trends and regulatory requirements.
  
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning financial management and operational leadership.
  
• Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  
• Bachelor s degree in Mining Engineering Geology Business Administration or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  
• Experience working in or with UAEbased companies and familiarity with the region s business environment is a plus.
