Job description

The CEO of YJOZ will lead the company’s mission to create a profitable, sustainable rental marketplace in the UAE and beyond, transforming YJOZ into the region’s go-to platform for renting a variety of items. This role involves driving YJOZ’s strategic vision, achieving business growth, maximizing revenue, and positioning YJOZ as an innovative leader in the circular economy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Vision & Execution:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to make YJOZ the leading platform for renting various goods, with a focus on sustainability and customer convenience.
    • Identify and expand into profitable categories within the rental market, analyzing customer demand trends to prioritize high-impact opportunities.
    • Build brand awareness and position YJOZ as a unique, user-friendly, and trusted platform through targeted marketing and partnerships.
  2. Revenue Growth:
    • Set and achieve aggressive growth and revenue targets by establishing monetization models such as subscription services, commission-based earnings, or premium features.
    • Identify and diversify revenue streams by adding categories based on market trends and customer needs, starting with profitable and high-demand items.
    • Oversee pricing strategies, promotional efforts, and customer acquisition initiatives to ensure a competitive and profitable platform.
  3. Operational Excellence:
    • Build a scalable and efficient operational framework, ensuring YJOZ’s infrastructure supports growth and high user engagement.
    • Establish KPIs for product and service quality, user satisfaction, and operational efficiency to maintain a high standard of service.
    • Implement systems for user feedback and continuous improvement to enhance user experience and loyalty.
  4. Team Leadership:
    • Assemble and lead a high-performing team with expertise in marketing, technology, business development, and customer service.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity, encouraging team members to contribute to YJOZ’s mission.
    • Provide clear objectives, performance targets, and professional development opportunities for the team.
  5. Financial Management & Investor Relations:
    • Develop a sustainable financial model with short- and long-term profitability in mind, ensuring resources are allocated to high-priority areas.
    • Engage with investors and stakeholders, providing regular progress reports and financial forecasts.
    • Secure additional funding if necessary and manage investor relationships to support YJOZ’s growth and innovation objectives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  1. Revenue & Profitability:
    • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets, with a specific growth percentage each year.
    • Achieve profitability within a designated timeframe, focusing on operational efficiency and sustainable revenue streams.
  2. User Acquisition & Retention:
    • Increase active user base by a set target each quarter.
    • Improve user retention rate through a strong, user-focused product and regular engagement initiatives.
  3. Category Expansion:
    • Successfully launch new rental categories based on market demand and meet target adoption rates for each category.
  4. Brand & Market Positioning:
    • Achieve brand recognition targets within the first 12 months, becoming a top choice for sustainable and convenient rentals in the UAE.
    • Develop key partnerships and collaborations that drive visibility and credibility for YJOZ.
  5. Customer Satisfaction:
    • Maintain a high average customer rating and resolve 95% of issues within a 24-hour window.
    • Regularly review and enhance customer service procedures to improve satisfaction scores.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven track record as a CEO or senior executive, ideally in an e-commerce or tech start-up environment.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with experience in launching and scaling businesses.
  • Knowledge of the UAE market and a deep understanding of the circular economy and rental platforms.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a focus on building a motivated, high-performance team.
  • Experience in financial planning, revenue generation, and investor relations.
