As Chief Engineer, you will:

Requirements:

1. A proven track record in a 4-5 star Hotel or Resort environment with at least 3-4 years of experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering role in UAE.
2. College degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
3. Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English (Additional languages, especially Arabic, is a Plus).
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leveraging strong verbal and written skills to express Departmental Goals and ultimately produce desired results.
5. Organizational and Leadership skills.
6. Time Management and Multi-Tasking skills to deliver timely action, even under pressure.
7. A hands-on attitude, backed by a "Yes, I can!" spirit.
8. Strong negotiation skills.
9. Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with the owning company, General Manager, and Project Managers.
10. Familiar with the local government requirements and regulations.
11. Flexible Work Attitude.
12. Must be quality-focused in all aspects of their work-related duties.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

1. Provide and maintain a high standard of Property Maintenance, demonstrating both reactive and preventive knowledge.
2. Maintain the Building, Grounds and Plant Equipment with particular attention to Safety, Security, and Asset protection.
3. Develop and implement strategies to deliver services that exceed the expectations of Guests and Stakeholders while maximizing financial performance.
4. Ensure all work follows strict adherence to safe work practices and procedures, prioritizing the well-being and security of all involved.
5. Lead the Emergency Response Team for all facility issues, demonstrating a remarkable ability to perform under pressure.
6. Develop and manage the Engineering Budget, ensuring integration of Departmental Goals in daily plans.
7. Highlight areas of concern to the Leadership Team and take ownership until the matter is resolved.
8. Manage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, boilers, and electrical systems per hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures.
9. Demonstrate leadership in implementing Sustainability Initiatives with a focus on guest experience.
10. Take responsibility for all work executed, by own or external contractors, on the building, plants, or technical installations.
