Chief Accountant

The Chief Accountant is responsible for managing the overall financial health of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. This role involves supervising the accounting team, preparing financial statements, overseeing audits, and implementing internal controls to optimize financial performance. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in financial management, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

• Oversee the accounting department and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial planning to optimize business operations.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities for audits and compliance checks.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, VAT reporting, and statutory submissions.
• Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred).
• Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or in a senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
