Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food preparation and maintaining excellent hygiene standards.
- Manage your Kitchen section with regard to food preparation and service according to set standards, customer satisfaction, and high level of sales in line with company policies and regulations.
- Guide the Commis in the performance of their jobs in accordance with Hotel policies and procedures.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.
- Prepare high-quality dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with other chefs to create innovative menu items and specials.
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels for your section.
- Ensure daily storeroom requisitions and sufficient supplies during Kitchen operation are rotated and used in a FIFO system.
- Assist in menu planning and food cost control.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist the Sous Chef as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar culinary role.
- Vocational degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
