Chargehand - Mason

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand Mason to join our construction team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand Mason, you will lead and supervise a team of masons, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate masonry work on construction projects.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute masonry tasks.
• Lead and mentor a team of masons, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Manage material inventory and coordinate with suppliers.
• Collaborate with other construction teams to maintain project schedules.
• Perform complex masonry work as needed.
• Report project progress and issues to senior management.
• Implement and maintain efficient work processes.
• Conduct regular quality inspections of completed work.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in masonry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• In-depth understanding of construction safety protocols and building codes.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in masonry preferred.
• OSHA certification.
• Familiarity with project management principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to adapt to the local work culture in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
