Role Purpose

The successful candidate will act as a strategic enabler, helping leaders and project/initiative teams drive adoption more effectively across mega strategic projects / initiatives.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in establishing and leading a Change Management Center of Excellence (CoE) and embedding best practices across mega strategic projects / initiatives. This role will focus on guidance, advisory, support and coaching to business units, ensuring a structured approach to successful change adoption. Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure full transparency and reporting of end-to-end change management activities, challenges, and outcomes across the key projects / initiatives, providing actionable insights to the VP, Project Portfolio Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and lead the Change Management CoE:
  • Design, develop, and implement the Change Management CoE framework, including methodologies, tools, and templates.
  • Define the CoE’s vision, mission, and objectives in alignment with SPMO and organisational goals.
  • Build and maintain a repository of change management resources, including case studies, best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Provide strategic guidance and advisory support:
    • Act as a trusted advisor to business units, providing expert guidance on change management strategies and plans.
    • Support the development of change management plans for key projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
    • Coach and mentor project teams, business leaders, and change agents on change management principles and practices.
  • Apply strong stakeholder interaction and engagement, both internal and external:
    • Drive strong stakeholder interaction and engagement across both internal and external partners to ensure alignment and successful change adoption.
    • Align and integrate Change Management framework with other functional frameworks and practices, ensuring continuous maturity through benchmarking with best practices and leveraging vendor support when needed.
    • Collaborate with adjacent business units involved in end-to-end change management (e.g. IT, Business Excellence, PMO, Planning & Performance etc) to ensure seamless integration and execution.
    • Foster cross-functional engagement, maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance functional capability and ensure consistency in change management practices.
  • Ensure transparency and reporting:
    • Develop and maintain a centralised reporting mechanism to track change management activities, progress, and challenges across the organisation, helping the Business Units (BU’s) shape fit-for-purpose and appropriate metrics / KPIs for measurement and tracking.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to the VP, Project Portfolio Management, highlighting key metrics, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Ensure that change management risks and issues are escalated appropriately and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Drive change adoption and sustainability:
    • Establish change networks and communities, as required, to support successful adoption.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that change initiatives are embedded sustainably into business processes and culture.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management efforts, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Facilitate change impact assessments (CIA) and stakeholder analyses to identify potential barriers to adoption.
  • Promote a change-ready culture:
    • Champion a culture of change readiness and agility across the organisation.
    • Deliver training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs to build change management capability at all levels.
    • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among business units to enhance change management maturity.
  • Support VP, Project Portfolio Management in maturing Project/Program management capabilities, ensuring change management is being truly embedded as part of the standard practice.
  • Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in change management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale change initiatives.
    • Experience in establishing and managing a Change Management CoE or similar function.
    • Strong understanding of change management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
    • Experience working in complex, matrixed organisations with multiple stakeholders.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
    • Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
    • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
    • Proficiency in change management software and reporting tools.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Experience in the Health Insurance industry is advantageous.
