Role Overview
The CEO would be responsible for leading and overseeing the overall strategic direction, financial performance, and operational excellence of the company. The CEO will ensure the successful execution of the company’s vision and mission in the mobile money industry, driving financial inclusion, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in financial services, fintech, mobile payments, and digital transformation, and a hands-on approach.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of executive leadership experience in fintech, banking, telecommunications, or mobile financial services.
- Proven track record of leading a high-growth business, scaling mobile money operations, and driving digital financial inclusion.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, AML/KYC requirements, and risk management principles.
- Experience in strategic partnerships, investor relations, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports, market trends, and business performance metrics.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
- Develop and implement the company’s long-term vision, mission, and strategic plan to ensure business growth and sustainability.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to expand the company’s footprint and enhance financial inclusion.
- Spearhead innovation in mobile money solutions, ensuring alignment with emerging financial technologies and customer needs.
- Drive expansion strategies including partnerships with banks, telecom operators, merchants, and other financial institutions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including investors, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and technology partners.
Financial Performance & Risk Management:
- Oversee financial management and performance, ensuring profitability, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to achieve business objectives.
- Implement robust risk management policies and compliance frameworks to mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements.
Operational Excellence & Technology Innovation:
- Oversee the development and deployment of innovative mobile money services that improve accessibility, affordability, and usability.
- Drive operational efficiency and digital transformation to enhance customer experience and business scalability.
- Lead product development initiatives to introduce new payment solutions, remittances, merchant services, and other fintech innovations.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures and data protection policies are in place to safeguard customer information and transactions.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to senior management and employees to enhance productivity and engagement.
