Roles and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Sales professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.

As a Sales Manager, you are responsible for implementing all sales activities and maximizing business opportunities in your specific area of responsibility, mainly focusing on Long Term contracts. The role involves implementing and executing all sales action plans and will include key responsibilities such as:

  • Ensure comprehensive and complete coverage of your portfolio, covering all levels of accounts, managerial and departmental executives for comprehensive client servicing, achieving targets and maximum productivity of Long Term contracts.
  • Implement and execute all sales objectives and action plans to reach and exceed targets set for Long Term contracts.
  • Establish parameters, quotes, and negotiate prices with customers for transient and group business in connection with the properties related to Long Term contracts.
  • Promote and produce sales leads for Rotana within its respective areas.
  • Provide feedback on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone, and direct mail in its market areas.
  • Establish and maintain files of major accounts and assist Superiors in maintaining the accounts management system.
  • Ensure that selling strategies are adhered to during negotiations and maximize upselling opportunities whenever possible.

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should hold a degree in sales and have a minimum of two years of postgraduate work experience, ideally within the hotel industry. You must be computer literate with excellent presentation skills and highly sophisticated communication skills, both written and oral, with proficiency in English being essential. Any additional language skills will be an asset.

  1. Sales Strategy Development:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
    • Identify key market segments and create strategies to attract and retain clients from these segments.
    • Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to stay competitive.
  2. Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel agents, and other stakeholders.
    • Conduct regular client meetings, site visits, and presentations to promote the property’s offerings.
    • Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  3. Revenue Generation:

    • Drive revenue through proactive sales efforts, including selling rooms, event spaces, and other services.
    • Negotiate contracts and close deals to maximize revenue and profitability.
    • Collaborate with the revenue management team to set pricing strategies and optimize yield.
  4. Market Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities.
    • Analyze sales data and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies.
    • Monitor competitor activity and adjust plans to maintain a competitive edge.
  5. Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
    • Collaborate with the operations and banquet teams to ensure client requirements are met.
    • Share feedback and insights with other departments to enhance guest experiences.
  6. Event Sales and Coordination:

    • Promote and sell the property’s event spaces for corporate meetings, weddings, and social gatherings.
    • Work with clients to understand their event needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Coordinate with the events team to ensure seamless execution of events.
  7. Reporting and Administration:

    • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for the sales department.
