Key Job Responsibilities Role Category Manager will be part of GPO (Global Procurement Organization) and support AMET region in different Opex categories. Key scope of this role includes:
Creating category strategies in conjunction with internal customers to ensure there is a comprehensive, unified approach for the category across the region.
Lead sourcing process and set up new mechanisms to ensure efficient and cost-effective replenishing of operational goods and services to Amazon Operational sites.
Achieve yearly cost saving or value targets appropriate to the category aligned with annual budget processes.
Define and report on key metrics that measure the effectiveness of projects, initiatives, and cost savings.
Champion standards and process improvements.
Build category strategies which are scalable and reflective of the Amazon growth plans.
Support the Operations team with any upcoming sourcing requirement in the country across different categories.
About The Team Report to the Regional Category team. Team members are across EGY, South Africa, and UAE. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
Experience working in Procurement.
3+ years of team management experience.
3+ years of program or project management experience.
3+ years of delivering cross-functional projects experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
Experience in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries.
