Category Lead - Pool Management Projects

Key Responsibilities:

1. Participates in initial provisioning in coordination with Material planning in Engineering & Maintenance section, external service provider, consultants & review the RSPL, come up with recommended float of rotables inventory levels based on Air Arabia operations and fleet size.
2. Prepares RFP, negotiates the commercial deals with the suppliers / OEMs including pricing and all commercial terms like warranty, shipping, payment terms, service levels for engineering products, material and services.
3. Prepares recommendation for award of contracts and ensures all the necessary internal approval for award of contracts and orders before handing over to Tech Procurement for actual purchasing.
4. Formulates and negotiates third party engineering contracts in consultation with stakeholders and legal.
5. Oversees the entire inventory lifecycle, including stock levels & negotiations with the supplier / OEM. This includes managing SPC2 and SPC6 items.
6. Processes inventory requests and generates requests for quotations (RFQs) when additional stock is needed. Uses dashboards and interactive maps to understand global inventory availability.
7. Manages sales quotes and orders for customers or third parties. Pre-defined templates and pricing calculations simplify the process.
8. Predicts resources needed to reach objectives and manages resources in an effective and efficient manner.
9. Identifies and initiates cost improvement projects to optimize total cost of ownership to reduce material and services cost.
10. Relies on various resources like technical input from engineers, data from finance and financial modelling tools like NPV, IRR and Payback methods in order to assess feasibility / viability of engineering related projects.
11. Tracks project costs to meet budget.
12. Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
13. Utilizes industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
14. Monitors progress and adjusts with corrective action as needed.
15. Coordinates with Technical Procurement for timely ordering and deliveries of BFE for new fleet.
16. Identifies and implements cost-saving initiatives and strategies as per annual KPIs.
