About the Role

To be responsible for all cash/credit transactions involving movement of goods to and from the shop, offering high-quality customer service to maintain proper accounts and safe custody of cash, cheques, and other related documents.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Receive cash or any other authorized modes of payment from customers, issue receipts/bills against their purchase, reconcile cash/credit receipts with sales figures, and prepare daily cash summary report for submission to the Accountant.
2. Be responsible for the safe custody of cash received and/or other relevant documents and deposit the cash/cheques in the bank every day to carefully protect the company funds.
3. Answer phone calls and customer queries in a professional manner to offer efficient customer service and enhance the company's image.
4. Monitor the use of petty cash, authorize payments for only approved items or emergency miscellaneous purchases, and submit accounts periodically to the Store Manager/Deputy Floor Manager for verification and sanction.
5. Keep count of customer traffic into the shop and compile relevant information on a daily basis.

About You

Education/Certification

High School qualification.

Years of Experience & Skills

• 2 to 3 years experience as Cashier in the retail sector.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of personal integrity.
• Computer literacy.
• Pleasant personality and good grooming.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
