Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team in Umm-al-Qaiwain. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in carpentry and be willing to work with a variety of projects. The salary for this position is 1300 AED per month. We are also open to considering an immigrant for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Construct, assemble or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, stairs and other wooden fixtures used in buildings
2. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil or chalk line
3. Cut materials to size indicated by drawings or templates using handsaws, power saws or chisels
4. Shape materials to specified measurements using planes, chisels and carves
5. Assemble cut & shaped materials and fix them together with nails, screws or glue
6. Check accuracy of structures assembled with spirit levels or other precision instruments
7. Fill cracks and imperfections with putty or wood filler
8. Install windows, doors and furniture items as requested by customers

1. At least 2 years of experience in carpentry work
2. Proven experience as a carpenter in a similar setting
3. Ability to read technical plans & drawings accurately
4. Knowledge of machinery operation & maintenance
5. Ability to use power tools (e.g. saws) safely
6. Good physical condition & strength with the ability to lift heavy objects
7. High school diploma; woodworking certificate is a plus
