Role Overview:

As a Cargo Trader, also known as a Physical Bunker Trader, you will be at the forefront of managing and growing our client's fuel oil and gasoil trading activities with a specific focus on the Middle East region. This pivotal role involves cultivating and sustaining strong supplier relationships, overseeing trade cycles, and ensuring that trading operations are consistently profitable and efficient.

Key Duties:

  1. Develop and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders within the oil and gas industry.
  2. Negotiate and close deals for the procurement and sale of fuel oil and gasoil.
  3. Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and industry developments to make informed trading decisions.
  4. Manage the entire trade cycle, from negotiation and contract management to logistics and delivery.
  5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  6. Conduct market analysis and prepare regular reports on trading activities and performance.
  7. Collaborate with the operations and finance teams to optimize trade execution and financial outcomes.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the physical supply market, particularly within the bunker trading sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the fuel oil and gasoil markets, with a focus on the Middle East region.
  • Exceptional negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Excellent relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to analyze market data and trends to make strategic trading decisions.
  • Proficiency in relevant trading and risk management software.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
