Cargo Operations Agent

The Cargo Operations Agent will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Cargo Operations Agent will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as freight forwarders, customs officials, and warehouse personnel, to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and oversee the loading and unloading of cargo.
2. Ensure that cargo is properly labeled, packaged, and secured.
3. Verify the accuracy of shipment documentation, such as bills of lading and packing lists.
4. Communicate with freight forwarders, customs officials, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations.
5. Track and monitor the movement of shipments.
6. Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the cargo handling process.
7. Provide timely updates to customers regarding the status of their shipments.
8. Maintain accurate records of cargo operations.
9. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures.
10. Continuously seek opportunities to optimize cargo operations processes.

Minimum Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in cargo operations or a similar role.
3. Knowledge of international shipping regulations and procedures.
4. Strong attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
