Guide students in building future educational or career paths, evaluating abilities, and developing necessary skills.
Provide resources and conduct workshops on resume writing, interviewing, time management, and goal setting.
Collaborate with teachers, vice principals, and social counselors to support student career exploration and academic goals.
Maintain a comprehensive database and resources on various careers and universities.
Oversee and support student learning support services, including managing referrals and coordinating support.
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address study issues, personal challenges, and career development.
Help students navigate academic choices, assisting with course and university selection.
Manage confidential student records and documentation of academic and personal development.
Foster a collaborative school environment, working closely with the Vice Principal, staff, and parents to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Master’s Degree in counseling is preferred.
CPD as per the ADEK Career and University Guidance policy (IACAC, ICF, NCDA, Berkeley, BMI...)
A minimum of two years counseling experience in an educational setting (preferred in UAE).
Current teacher/Educator.
Fluent in English & Arabic languages written and spoken.
IELTS or TOEFL for non-native teachers (6.5 for subjects taught in English & 7.5 for English subjects).
Excellent IT skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to positively deal with students.
