Key Responsibilities:
Analyze card and customer engagement data to identify trends, patterns, and segmentation specific to the UAE banking market.
Collaborate closely with the product team to provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations for product improvements.
Develop use cases that identify value opportunities upfront, develop a testing framework to measure results, and tell a clear and impactful story on value and the result.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of cardholder behavior to support targeted marketing (BTL) and customer retention strategies.
Execute analysis that supports the spend growth on all card products.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing rigorous data audits and validation checks.
Develop and maintain sophisticated dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to card usage and customer behavior.
Align on objectives and priorities of the analytical tasks with the business Product (Cards) leads.
Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear, compelling, and actionable manner.
Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in card data analysis to continuously drive innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Cards Data Analyst or similar role in the UAE banking industry. -- required
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the UAE banking industry. -- required
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
Experience in predictive modeling in retail banking, particularly Cards and Payments.
In-depth knowledge of card payment systems and processes.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SAS, SQL, Python). -- required
Experience with MS Dynamics Customer Insights (preferred).
Exceptional communication and presentation skills including for MD/Senior Stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Transaction Volume: Monitoring the total number of card transactions over a specific period.
Customer Acquisition Rate: Tracking the number of new cardholders acquired.
Customer Retention Rate: Measuring the percentage of cardholders who continue to use the card over time.
Average Transaction Value: Calculating the average value of transactions made using the card.
Revenue per Cardholder: Analyzing the revenue generated from each cardholder.
Card Activation Rate: Measuring the percentage of issued cards that are activated and used by customers.
Credit Utilization Rate: Monitoring the ratio of credit used to the total credit available to cardholders.
