Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our team. As a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and injuries of the heart and chest. You will be performing complex surgeries on the heart, lungs, and other organs in the chest to improve patients' overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough patient evaluations and diagnose cardiovascular and thoracic conditions
2. Develop and execute treatment plans, including surgical procedures, non-invasive treatments, and follow-up care
3. Perform complex surgeries, such as coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair or replacement, heart transplantation, and thoracic surgeries
4. Collaborate with other medical professionals, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other surgeons, to ensure optimal patient care
5. Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to perform surgeries and procedures
6. Educate patients and their families on treatment options, pre- and post-operative care, and necessary lifestyle changes
7. Stay up-to-date with advancements and developments in the field of cardiothoracic surgery and implement new techniques and procedures when appropriate

Qualifications:

1. Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from an accredited medical school
2. Completed residency in general surgery and fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery
3. Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiothoracic surgery
4. Valid medical license in the state of practice
5. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery
6. Excellent clinical and surgical skills
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
8. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
10. Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development activities
