Car Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Car Mechanic to join our team. As a Car Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and in optimal working condition. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in providing excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues, including but not limited to engine malfunctions, brake problems, electrical failures, and suspension issues.
2. Diagnose vehicle problems using diagnostic tools and equipment, and consult with customers to gather information about vehicle history and symptoms.
3. Provide accurate and detailed estimates of repair costs and timelines to customers, and explain the necessary repairs and maintenance required.
4. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and electrical system repairs.
5. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, and brake systems.
6. Conduct tests and inspections after repairs to ensure vehicles are functioning properly and meet safety standards.
7. Keep detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and services provided, ensuring accurate documentation for billing and warranty purposes.
8. Stay up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly handled and stored.
10. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, taking necessary precautions to protect yourself, colleagues, and customers.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal training program in automotive technology is highly preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Car Mechanic, with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and brake systems.
4. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, explaining complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle tools and perform physical tasks.
8. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
9. Strong commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
10. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if required.
