Roles and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Camp Boss with catering experience to oversee the day-to-day operations of our camp facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise camp staff, including kitchen and cleaning teams
  • Plan and oversee menu preparation and meal services
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations
  • Maintain inventory of food and supplies, and place orders as needed
  • Handle any feedback or complaints in a professional and efficient manner
  • Manage budgets and expenses related to catering services

Candidate Requirements

  • Attested Degree in any relevant courses
  • Proven experience as a Camp Boss or similar role, specifically with catering experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with composure

  • Scheduling and Planning: Creating schedules for workers and service rotations.
  • Health and Safety Management: Ensuring that health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Facility Inspections: Conducting regular checks to ensure the camp is clean and operational.
  • Transport Logistics: Overseeing transportation arrangements for workers and deliveries of supplies.

3. Financial Management

  • Budgeting: Managing the camp's budget, including expenses for food and staff salaries.
  • Cost Control: Identifying ways to reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate financial records and reports.

4. Communication Skills

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Acting as the primary point of contact between camp workers and management.
  • Clear Reporting: Preparing and submitting regular reports on the camp's operations.
  • Multilingual Communication: Communicating with workers from diverse backgrounds.
