CAD / CAM Technician

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Scan and design work orders according to Doctors prescription requests.
2. Read work prescriptions and examine cases to determine design of dental restoration.
3. Scan, design, and fabricate dental prosthesis using 3Shape/Exocad software and technology.
4. Communicate case planning throughout lab departments.
5. Design dental framework, full contour crowns, bridges, implant abutments, veneers, diagnostic wax ups, and implants.
6. Read, interpret and design dental restorations to client's specifications by using a dental design software program.
7. Proficient in 3Shape and understanding of manufacturing processes and dental lab techniques of milling and sintering of Zirconia.
8. Design full arch interim and final restorations in 3Shape/Exocad software.
9. Prepare design prototypes and coordinate with doctor to obtain final design approval.
10. Coordinate and participate in CAD/CAM processes.
11. Setting up the digitalization workflow and working together with the other branches in an efficient and systematic manner is one of the main targets.

Job Requirements:

• Able to make ceramic crowns and empress veneers.
• Able to make dentures repair.
• Scan and design work orders according to Doctors prescription requests.
• Read work prescriptions and examine cases to determine design of dental restoration.
• Scan, design, and fabricate dental prosthesis using 3Shape/Exocad software and technology.
• Communicate case planning throughout lab departments.
• Digital design of dental framework, full contour crowns, bridges, implant abutments, veneers, diagnostic wax ups, and implants.
• Able to work on the lab Manual and Digital.
• In possession of a valid DHA license.
• Experience with 3Shape, Exocad, and other desktop scanners and software.
• Familiarity with dental lab techniques of milling.
• Experience with setting up and running a dental lab is an advantage.
• Technical insight and perseverance.
• Completed training in Dental Technology or relevant training.
• Several years of work experience as a dental technician/plaster technician within a dental organization.
• Enthusiastic, eager to learn, representative, accurate, flexible, and service-oriented.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Precision and accuracy.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Stress resistant.
