CAD Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and develop architectural drawings and plans using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to translate conceptual designs into detailed CAD drawings for residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
• Generate floor plans, elevations, sections, and details to communicate design intent and facilitate the construction process.
• Incorporate building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements into CAD drawings to ensure compliance and permit approval.
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as structural and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) engineers to integrate architectural elements into the overall building design.
• Revise and update CAD drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders, including architects, clients, and contractors.
• Manage and organize CAD files and documentation for efficient project workflow and information sharing.
• Provide support during the construction phase by producing as-built drawings and responding to RFIs (requests for information) related to architectural details.
  

Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs, with demonstrated experience in architectural drafting and detailing.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building construction techniques, and industry standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in CAD drafting, with the ability to produce high-quality drawings.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and permit processes relevant to architectural design.
• Prior experience in architectural firms or construction companies is desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
