About the role:

Location: Sharjah

Hours: Full Time

The C&I Operations Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery within the Certification & Inspection division (MENA). This includes quote creation, project planning, project management, job costing, and report approvals. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

About the team:

As a part of our MENA team, you’ll become part of a small, hardworking, and skilled team who are used to working to a high standard and specification. Reporting into our Certification & Inspection Division Manager for our MENA Region, you will be supported by our team of onshore and offshore personnel working alongside you, whose goal, much like your own, will be to enable a quick and safe turn-around of equipment.

As well, you will be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team globally, who want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values-driven professional environment.

Responsibilities:

Client Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through effective communication and project delivery.
• Develop strong working relations with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues etc.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Implement quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of service delivery.
• To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.

Quote Creation:

• Develop detailed and accurate quotations for certification and inspection services based on client requirements and project specifications.

Project Planning:

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including project requirements, timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.

Project Management:

• Oversee the execution of all certification and inspection projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplined technicians and other team members to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to address any deviations.
• Ensure all projects are delivered as per the client’s expectations, inclusive of supplying personnel with sufficient training.

Job Costing:

• Prepare and manage project budgets.
• Track project expenses and provide regular financial reports to management.

Report Approvals:

• Review and approve inspection and certification reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all project documentation and reports.

Required skills / knowledge:

• Degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations engineering, project management, or a related role within the certification and inspection industry.
• Strong understanding of inspection and certification processes in lifting equipment inspection, Non-destructive testing and magnetic rope testing.
• Strong understanding of wire rope and umbilical spooling operations.
• Proven experience in project planning, execution, and management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to lifting equipment and inspection services. ADNOC & ARAMCO is essential.
