Assist with buying planning, including budget splits, size curves, and ongoing merchandise forecasting.
Provide buyers with merchandising plans for range reviews, including in-season buys.
Enter orders using the right depth/size curve for each style based on historical sales and buyer recommendations.
Assess store execution of merchandising plans and recommend optimum space management options based on store trends and category sales performance.
Communicate merchandising plans to concerned departments and stores.
Follow up with Logistics on stock deliveries/movement to respect merchandising plans.
Support customer service in coordinating with brands to receive item master files, converting them into the Beside format, and uploading them into the system.
Assist customer service with receiving supplier confirmations, updating the system, and informing line specialists.
Help reconcile supplier information on sizes, size codes, descriptions, pre-packs, minimums, and colors.
Share and transmit sales reports internally and to suppliers.
Stock Management:
Support the Retail Merchandiser in maximizing full price sell-through by conducting regular stock consolidations between stores.
Outline and monitor promotions/offers in the system.
Define and monitor carry-over items in the system in coordination with the head of Buying & Merchandising.
Assist in planning in-season and end-of-season product markdowns in coordination with the head of Buying & Merchandising, Retail Ops, and Visual Merchandisers.
Ensure accurate and timely execution of pricing changes and markdowns.
Utilize software/systems proactively and identify areas for improvement in buying efficiency.
Develop experience to take over buying responsibilities.
