Job Description:

We are looking for our client for a highly skilled and experienced Business Unit Head to lead and manage one of the company's key business units. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, oversee product management, and manage vendor relationships. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and an in-depth understanding of the IT landscape, particularly in backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic leadership and direction for the business unit, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee product management, including the identification, evaluation, and integration of new products into the company portfolio.
  3. Lead vendor management efforts, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and relationship management to ensure optimal partnerships.
  4. Develop and execute business expansion strategies, identifying new market opportunities and driving growth initiatives.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and technical support to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.
  6. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine product strategies and improve market positioning.
  7. Manage the financial performance of the business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving revenue and profitability targets.
  8. Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within the IT industry, with a strong background in product management and business development.
  3. Proven track record in vendor management, product evaluation, and successful market expansion.
  4. Strong understanding of backup, business continuity, disaster recovery solutions, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML and cloud computing.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
  6. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, financial management, and driving business growth.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in an IT distribution company or similar environment with a minimum of 12+ years of experience.
  2. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, etc.).
  3. Familiarity with the latest industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
