The Opportunity:

This position is based in UAE, Dubai. As Abbott, we help people live healthier and better lives through our Established Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics, Nutrition, and Medical Devices business for more than years. We have approximately 300 employees working across Africa.

As the Business Relationship Manager, you will be the primary liaison between the IT and business areas, providing direct support to the assigned business area. You will work directly with clients and apply IT and business knowledge to develop and understand the business case and requirements to solve technology-related business problems. You will lead department-level initiatives or provide assistance to Program or Project managers on phases of a larger project. You may assist in business relationship management, business strategy and planning, and portfolio/demand management.

What You’ll Do:

1. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
2. Applies and executes standard information systems theories, concepts, and techniques and assists in the development of standards and procedures.
3. Partners with Corporate service providers to investigate alternatives that utilize existing applications.
4. May conduct training.
5. Manages initiatives according to milestones and within budget constraints. Identifies and implements process improvements.
6. Independently conceives and develops general approaches to develop business requirements and business case.
7. Exercises latitude in the approach to problem-solving.
8. Work is reviewed for soundness of business judgment and to determine if overall results and objectives have been achieved.
9. Determines and develops approach to problem.
10. Handles medium/high complexity work.
11. Errors or failure to achieve expected results may result in project delays or the expenditure of more resources than planned.

Required Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement.
2. 4-7 years of experience.
3. Proficiency in English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience as an IT business analyst – preferably in a large organization/multinational.
2. Thrives under pressure.
3. Productivity > Output is exceptionally high. Uses time wisely.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Approaches work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner.
6. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
7. Can be trusted to keep sensitive information secure.
