Job description

We are partnering with a leading independent agency and are seeking a Business Director to be based in Dubai. The successful candidate will shape the future of high-profile entertainment and Retail/FMCG accounts. Working closely with creative teams, production staff, and the new business team, the Business Director will play a pivotal role in driving growth and maintaining a strong, profitable client relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and strengthen client relationships ensuring the delivery of strategic and creative solutions that meet business objectives.
  2. Collaborate with Strategy and Creative teams to craft impactful communication briefs and guide the strategic direction of creative work.
  3. Oversee account profitability, identify opportunities for revenue growth, and allocate resources effectively to maximize success.
  4. Manage contracts and fees in coordination with the Head of Client Services and Commercial Director, ensuring the financial health of the business.
  5. Inspire and mentor your team, promoting professional development while leading cross-functional teams across the agency.
  6. Report key financial and performance metrics to senior leadership and ensure smooth operations by managing agency systems.
  7. Contribute to new business pitches and assist with recruitment efforts for the Client Services team.
  8. Work closely with internal teams including agency leadership, account planners, creative directors, and finance.
  9. Engage with external stakeholders such as client marketing teams, procurement, and partner agencies within the client's roster.

Requirements:

  1. Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional groups across the agency.
  2. Expertise in translating client needs into effective communication briefs and steering the strategic direction of creative efforts.
  3. Strong background in managing and growing client relationships, ensuring account profitability and identifying new business opportunities.
  4. Experience handling account budgets, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with finance teams to ensure financial stability.
  5. Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to clearly convey strategies and creative concepts to both clients and internal teams.
  6. A proactive mindset adept at identifying challenges and opportunities with a track record of implementing effective solutions.
