Job Summary.
The role of the Business Development Director is to improve NOV Completion Tools market position in MENA and achieve financial growth. This job identifies long-term strategic goals within the region, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. They will act as a senior sales position within the NOV Completion Tools. They will work with regional sales, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue for the organization. They will be responsible for finding potential new customers and other business opportunities to grow the business, as well as help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify potential clients and the decision-makers within the client organization.
Research and build relationships with new clients.
Set up meetings between client decision-makers and our product line experts.
Work with regional teams and PLMs to develop proposals that speak to the clients' needs, concerns, and objectives.
Participate in establishing market pricing for products.
Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Attend industry functions such as association events and conferences and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Present to and consult with management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, distribution channels, and potential acquisitions.
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Work with MENA regional sales teams to meet sales targets.
Work with sales to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
Present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff.
Monitor sales performance to evaluate against corporate sales plans.
Responsible for following all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Generate and maintain client list.
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate with Global Region Sales/Product line Managers on region-specific opportunities identified when meeting clients and provide support to develop those opportunities into sales.
Target Customer Technology Teams to identify opportunities to develop new products and expand Completion Tools footprint globally.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILLSET REQUIRED:
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 15 years experience in energy services including an in-depth knowledge of the Completion Tools market including Conventional and Unconventional Completions, Sand Control Completions, and Well Construction in the Middle East.
Regional experience in the Completion Tools market is essential for this role.
15-20 years of experience in a related field with a demonstrated record of successful management.
Leadership and team building experience required.
Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments.
Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written).
