About the Role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying and developing new customers. Working closely with our existing customer base and leveraging available resources, the BDR generates leads, builds relationships, and supports the sale of Mantrac's product portfolio. This role manages a portfolio of 200-300 customers, focusing on lead and opportunity growth within assigned regions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prospect Acquisition:
    1. Process assigned leads within 24 hours of receipt using correct outcome codes.
    2. Ensure accounts are created and opportunities recorded in Salesforce.com.
  1. Account Management:
    1. Build and maintain strong business relationships with customers.
    2. Manage all aspects of assigned accounts, including debt control.
    3. Keep contact details and company information up to date.
  1. Call Planning:
    1. Plan daily customer calls in batches to engage key decision-makers effectively.
    2. Achieve an average of 4 face-to-face meetings and 10 calls daily.

About You:

We are seeking a results-driven individual with exceptional customer relationship skills and a strong background in business development or sales. You should be a proactive team player with the ability to work independently while meeting targets.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Telephone sales and lead generation expertise.
  • Proven track record in successful business development and stakeholder management.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing customer accounts, with a focus on commercial awareness.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to calculate profitability and margins.
  • Knowledge of developing new accounts and customer management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in heavy machinery and/or power systems sectors.
  • Knowledge of markets in Africa and Iraq.
  • Technical understanding of relevant products.
  • Sales-related qualifications or certifications.

Qualifications:

A Levels and GCSE Maths and English (grade C or above).

Location: Office-based in Dubai, with approximately 30% travel required across Africa and Iraq.
