Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Business Development & Market Analyst Consultant to support the development of a business plan for producing and selling raw OUD material to the global fragrances and incense markets, with a strong focus on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The consultant will be responsible for conducting market research, analyzing the competitive landscape, exploring innovative production methods, and building financial models to support business strategy and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Assessment & Analysis:

• Evaluate the size and growth potential of the OUD-based fragrances and incense markets.

• Identify key market trends, consumer preferences, and regional demand drivers.

• Analyze trade data and market reports to understand import/export flows of raw OUD materials.

2. Competitive Landscape:

• Identify major players in the OUD supply chain, including producers, distributors, and brands.

• Analyze competitive pricing, positioning strategies, and distribution models.

• Assess market entry barriers and regulatory considerations for raw OUD trade.

3. Alternative Production Methods:

• Research innovative and sustainable methods for producing raw OUD, including synthetic or bio-cell synthesis approaches.

• Evaluate the feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and market acceptance of alternative OUD sources.

• Identify potential R&D partners or technology providers.

4. Pricing & Business Models:

• Develop a pricing strategy for both B2B (wholesale supply to fragrance and incense brands) and B2C (direct-to-consumer sales, if applicable).

• Assess pricing elasticity and cost structures for various customer segments.

• Compare pricing models across traditional and alternative OUD supply chains.

5. Business & Financial Planning:

• Develop a 5-year business and financial plan, including revenue projections, cost structures, and profitability analysis.

• Identify key revenue streams and potential funding opportunities.

• Create financial models to assess investment requirements and expected returns.

6. Additional Responsibilities:

• Support business strategy development, including partnership and distribution strategies.

• Identify potential suppliers, buyers, and stakeholders in the GCC region.

• Provide recommendations for branding, marketing, and positioning strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong background in business development, market research, or strategy consulting.

• Experience in the fragrances, incense, or natural raw materials industry is a must.

• Knowledge of the GCC market and cultural nuances related to OUD.

• Strong financial modeling and business planning skills.

• Ability to conduct competitive analysis and pricing strategy development.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
