Location: Dubai

Salary: 22K AED + Commission

Company Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced API Business Development and Sales Manager to spearhead our clients API sales efforts. This role is integral to our clients growth strategy and will drive API sales initiatives globally.

Role Overview:

The API Business Development and Sales Manager will lead the charge in expanding our API sales pipeline and building strong, long-term relationships with clients. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a deep understanding of the API ecosystem. You will manage the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting to contracting, and use modern API channels to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive API adoption globally.
  2. Prospecting: Identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including digital outreach, industry events, and networking.
  3. Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the complete sales cycle from initial contact and needs assessment to contract negotiation and closing deals.
  4. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations.
  5. Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure alignment and support throughout the sales process.
  7. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in API sales and business development, with a proven track record of success in a startup environment.
  2. Global Experience: Demonstrated experience working in global markets and managing international sales efforts.
  3. Lifecycle Expertise: Comprehensive experience across the digital sales lifecycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contracting and closing.
  4. Industry Experience: Previous roles at companies with APIs as core offerings is an absolute must.
  5. Skills: Strong understanding of modern API channels and technologies, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
