Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager with experience in the home automation sector. The ideal candidate will excel at building client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and driving sales for bespoke automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Development:
    • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with growth and market expansion.
    • Identify new customer segments, markets, and partnership opportunities.
  2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
    • Build strong client relationships to drive new business and secure repeat orders.
    • Customize solutions to meet client needs and ensure satisfaction.
  3. Sales & Revenue Growth:
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets through securing new contracts and upselling.
    • Manage sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing high-value deals.
  4. Partnership Development:
    • Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships with technology providers and industry stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with partners to co-develop smart home solutions.
  5. Market Insights & Analysis:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and competitor activities.
    • Provide insights and actionable recommendations to leadership.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to develop client-centric campaigns and offerings.
  7. Brand Representation:
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
    • Strengthen the company's brand presence and market reputation.
  8. Reporting & Performance Tracking:
    • Track and report on business development activities using CRM tools.
    • Monitor sales performance and market opportunities.
  9. Innovation & Idea Generation:
    • Propose innovative strategies to improve customer engagement and market penetration.
    • Collaborate with product teams to explore new smart home innovations.
  10. Team Leadership & Development:
    • Mentor junior team members and help build a high-performing business development team.

Requirements

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales within the smart home or technology sector.
  • Knowledge of smart home solutions, IoT technologies, and industry trends, along with a solid understanding of IoT systems and devices is required.
  • Proven ability to identify market opportunities and develop strategies, negotiate contracts, close deals, and align business development efforts with the company's growth objectives.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and networking skills to connect with industry leaders and decision-makers.
  • Experience in collaborating with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns and generate leads.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and strategies to promote smart home solutions and drive brand awareness is desired.
