The Role
Guildhall is assisting a leading Chinese design company focused on cutting-edge kitchen, laundry, and refrigeration design for restaurants, hotels, and institutional operations. The company is recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager. The candidate will be responsible for creating and developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing sales. The candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service-oriented. Ultimately, the candidate should be able to develop and grow our business by building successful long-term client relationships and industry networks in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. New Business Development: Establish and grow the firm's footprint in the UAE and Middle East markets. Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  2. Client Network Development: Build and maintain a robust client network targeting key decision-makers in the restaurant, hotel, and institutional sectors. Consistently achieve and exceed sales goals by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  3. Key Account Management: Lead project coordination efforts ensuring alignment between client requirements and deliverables from the China-based internal team. Oversee contract negotiations and completion ensuring timely and high-quality project outcomes.
  4. Tender Participation: Participate in tender bidding processes including proposal preparation, pricing strategies, and client interviews. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to secure contracts and build long-term partnerships.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of proven success in a similar business development role, preferably in the design or foodservice industry. Prior experience in kitchen consultancy, culinary operations, or hotel F&B sectors is highly desirable and will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated work experience in Dubai or the UAE with an understanding of local market dynamics and business practices.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively present solutions and negotiate with clients.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt, with strong organizational and project management skills.
