Education Requirements

Experience Requirements

  1. 5+ years of experience in the biomass, thermal, or steam industry
  2. Have worked on biomass, thermal, and/or steam projects in Africa

Responsibilities

  1. Market Expansion: Identify and explore new market opportunities in the renewable energy sector across Africa, focusing on biomass, steam, and thermal projects
  2. Strategic Partnerships: Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and local communities to foster strong partnerships
  3. Proposal Development: Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals and bids for new projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and organisational goals
  4. Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analyses and feasibility studies to support investment decisions and secure project financing
  5. Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales initiatives and revenue growth by identifying and targeting potential clients and markets
  6. Project Management: Oversee the successful execution of business development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards
  7. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  8. Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform business development strategies and capitalise on emerging opportunities
