Job Description

Role: Business Development Manager
Location: Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:
Manage existing & identify potential corporate relationships and offer them a confidential program.

Key Accountabilities of the Role:
  1. Identify corporates and business opportunities and scope confidential business potential.
  2. Ensure periodic meetings and visits to maintain up-to-date insight on assigned portfolio and share details with respective line manager.
  3. Review current products programs and perform benchmark with key competitors.
  4. Develop & maintain relationships with key personnel in identified corporates and present confidential proposition documents to create new business avenues and enhanced accessibilities.
  5. Engage various business units throughout the identified opportunities, manage and ensure generation of business leads.
  6. Ensure proper closure of leads and resolution of complaints.
  7. Develop cross-selling opportunities from leads sourced & identify products & policy enhancements to enhance acquisition.

Results Required:
  1. Work closely with Corporate Banking Group and other stakeholders on new and existing corporate clients in portfolio under management and scope business potential.
  2. Ensure relevant TML remarks are updated and regular reviews are in place.
  3. Provide marketing intelligence on key competitors to ensure competitive proposition and packages are in place.
  4. Ensure the below tasks are met:
    1. Ensure up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and present to all corporates within assigned portfolios.
    2. Strengthen relationships with employers/employees and cover them in confidential acquisition programs (onboarding marketing kiosks, packages circulation, and financial wellness sessions, etc.).
  5. Increase key product penetration within assigned portfolio (ACs, etc., and CC) and channel leads to tagged teams through Lead Management team.
  6. Provide employees of corporates in assigned portfolio with superior service level and swift conversion of leads (within TAT) in coordination with Customer Excellence team.
  7. Propose campaigns, identify opportunities to increase product penetration, and propose policy enhancement items that are portfolio/employer relevant.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this Role:
  1. Bachelor's degree required (preferably in business administration, finance, or related field).
  2. 6 years experience in retail banking, front line Business Development preferred.
  3. Organizational talent: has strong planning and multitasking skills can address many issues simultaneously.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. Strong team player.
  6. Willingness to travel within the UAE.
