Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives in the freight forwarding sector across the Middle East. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions to meet client needs. This role demands a strong understanding of the freight forwarding landscape, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Acquisition:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in freight forwarding (air, sea, and land).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their logistics needs and offer customized solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Market Research and Strategy:

  • Analyze market trends, competition, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the client base.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance service offerings and competitive positioning.

Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor and resolve client issues promptly, maintaining high service standards.
  • Regularly update clients on new services, developments, and industry trends.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to management.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives to enhance overall business performance.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or additional certifications in logistics or sales is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development or sales in the freight forwarding or logistics industry in the region.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios in the Middle East.

Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of freight forwarding processes, including customs regulations and documentation.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and supply chain solutions.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
