Job Description

Business Development Manager

Thomson Reuters is looking for a Business Development Manager - Legal Content Solutions based in Dubai. The BDM is responsible for growing revenue and market share of Thomson Reuters legal content platforms in the MENA region.

About The Role:
In this opportunity as BDM, you will:

  1. Act as an expert for legal data solutions and advise clients to improve work efficiency. Selling TR legal data to existing and new clients within the designated territory.
  2. Maintain deep knowledge of the designated accounts/territory and the clients' workflow and challenges.
  3. Strategically develop, execute, and maintain a growth-centric business plan and own overall strategy for revenue growth.
  4. Develop strong, high-level contact network within the designated territory including C and E level executives and department heads.
  5. Establish strong, long-term customer relationships and identify new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with key decision makers.
  6. Apply knowledge of business and its constituent workflows to conceive and position value-added solutions to promote sales and revenue growth.
  7. Maintain accurate pipeline on Salesforce for forecast and reporting purposes. Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all products and solutions.
  8. Serve as a business advisor to promote long-term relationships with the client and drive overall customer satisfaction.

About You

You are a fit for the role if you:

  1. Have experience working with corporates, governments, academics, and/or law firms in the MENA region.
  2. Are a self-starter with strong sales experience, preferably within the legal/regulatory data sector or related field with a legal/legal technology educational background or related field.
  3. Have fluency in English. Fluency in Arabic is a plus.
  4. Have a strong understanding of customers and their business models and workflows.
  5. Possess strong relationship-building skills and experience in establishing C-level relationships.
  6. Have proven commercial experience in a customer-facing environment.
  7. Exhibit problem-solving skills and the ability to understand, articulate, structure, and solve client needs.
  8. Show strong presentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organization.
  9. Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  10. Are self-confident and comfortable working under limited supervision.
  11. Have a desire to compete and win business in a team setting.
  12. Have a wide contact network across the MENA region, which would be an advantage.
